COVID Update

Dear CMA Family,

It is our desire to have in-person services at the church as soon as possible. However, in light of the recent outbreak of COVID in the church along with Monongalia County being classified as a red county on the DHHR County Alert System, we believe it is the most responsible decision, based on loving our church family and community, to have online-only services at this time.

Being a red county is the state's highest alert level possible. Visit dhhr.wv.gov for more information on the DHHR County Alert System. The impact of this disease is greatly affecting the health care system right now and many hospitals are concerned about being able to continue staffing of nurses, doctors, and support staff. We ask that you keep those healthcare workers, along with all who are suffering with COVID in your prayers.

Suspending in-person services has been a matter of much prayer and deliberation, and we believe this is the best way to love our neighbors and love one another during this unprecedented time. As your elder body, we will continue to monthly evaluate our timetable to return to in-person services and will promptly communicate any changes in status during our weekly worship services and on our website.

CMA will continue to be the Church in our community and we strongly encourage you to stay engaged with us during this time. There are a variety of online opportunities such as streaming our worship service, online small groups, and the weekly prayer gathering. We are also working on new ways for our people to be spiritually equipped and to share life stories so we can remain strong in our faith and maintain connections with one another. The best way to find out all that is happening at CMA is by going to our website.

We, your elder body, want you to know that we are available for you, praying for you, and here to serve you! Please call the church office at 304-599-4549 or email us at cma@cmachurch.net to let us know how we can best minister to you during this unprecedented time.

In Christ,

The Elders of CMA Morgantown
