Romans: An In-Depth Study - Part 1

For: Any Adult

The importance of Romans cannot be overstated. It is the longest of Paul’s epistles and is often considered as the greatest letter ever written. Romans had a profound influence on many great names in Church history (Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, John Calvin, Luther, and Karl Barth). In this FIRST of a two-part in-depth study, gain a better understanding of why its truths can transform your life. The book, Shepherd’s Notes –
ROMANS will be used to help aid our study, with questions provided by the teacher.

Details: This is an 8-week course with an average of 1-1.5 hours of homework per week.

There is a big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God. In this study we will discuss a) how to cure the disease to please with a biblical understanding of the command to love; b) how to escape the shame and guilt of disappointing others by learning the secret of the small no; c) how to overcome the agony of hard choices by embracing a wisdom-based decision-making process and d) how to rise above the rush of endless demands and discover your Best Yes today.

Essentials of Christian Leadership

For: Any Adult

If someone wanted to serve in a leadership role in a church, what would be essential for them to understand? What is a leadership development pathway for reproducing Christian leaders? In this course we go over 4 categories of development (Theology: Develop your head, Relationship priorities: Develop your heart, Ministry: Discover your work, and Skills: Steward your talents). This will be a 10-week course using Systematic Theology, a variety of articles, books, and seminars that pastor Roy has read over the years.

Details: This is a 10-week course with an average of 1 hour of homework per week plus recommendations for further study.

WISH Bible Studies for Women

For: Women

WISH (Women In Search of Him) meets each Tuesday morning in the Great Room for fellowship and Bible study. There are three studies to choose from: Hebrews, The Gospel of John, and prayer.

Details: These studies last throughout the fall, culminating in a Christmas Fellowship

Cost: There is no cost for these studies and nursery care is provided

Weekly Sunday School Classes

For: All ages

Details: All of our regular Sunday School classes are Bible studies when you get right down to it. If you can’t find an option during the week, join a Sunday School class before Sunday worship. Classes start at 9:45.
